What is the maximum time the BurnJacket can resist heat from an exhaust pipe?

We have timed the BURNJACKET as long as 20 seconds against a running exhaust.  However, this is not the BURNJACKET's purpose.  BURNJACKET was developed to add a layer of protection for your skin from quick exhaust pipe touches.  Since exhaust pipes vary as to the amount of heat they give off, we highly discourage anyone from attempting a lengthily amount of time with the BURNJACKET against extreme heat.

Does Burnjacket come in a pair or single?

There is a single BURNJACKET packaged per order. Generally only one BURNJACKET is needed for a customer since generally the exhaust pipe is located only on the right of the motorcycle. However, if you have a motorcycle with exhaust pipes on the right and left side then it is best to purchase two BURNJACKET’s.

Is BurnJacket water proof?

The BURNJACKET is water resistant and will bead off moderate amounts of water.  However, the BURNJACKET does dry very quickly.

Will it fit under/over jeans?

 Both BURNJACKET and BURNJACKET PRO are meant to be worn against the bare skin (underneath pants) to assure best fit. However, depending on how small your calf is and how tight your pants are, in theory, both could be worn over pants, but this is not the recommended usage. If over the pants is going to be attempted it might be best to purchase BURNJACKET PRO since it expands larger.

Is the BurnJacket machine washable?

We recommend the BURNJACKET be hand washed with a little soap and laid out to dry.    DO NOT put it in a washer or dryer.
